nana’s hardsauce

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 T hot water

Cream together butter and sugar. Beat whites until stiff. Beat yolks until frothy. Add yolks to butter mixture, add water, add whites.

Chill. Serve over gingerbread.
